Lately

Boy are Harper and Keegan growing!  Harper is probably around 9 lbs and we think Keegan might be almost 11!  They both really love to eat!  Harper was having some issues eating but we've switched her to Nutramigen and she seems to be doing much better!  They go to the doctor next week for their 2 month shots and checkup!  I'm very anxious to see how much they weigh now!

I'm a few days late posting these pictures but here are a few from Sunday.  They weren't really in the mood (especially Harper!) for picture taking but I attempted to get a few at least.

We had a good doctor's appointment on Monday!  Both Harper and Keegan are well past their birth weights!  Keegan weighs 8 lbs 3.5 oz and Harper weighs 7 lbs 4.5 oz.  They're almost able to start wearing 0-3 month clothes instead of newborn which will give us lots more clothing options!

3 Weeks

Harper & Keegan are 3 weeks old today!  They are staying awake more often but still not sleeping much at night.

We went to see the pediatrician on Tuesday for a checkup and they are both past their birth weights!  Keegan weighs 6 lbs 6.5 oz and Harper weighs 5 lbs 12.5 oz.  Keegan has grown 3/4 in and Harper has grown 1 1/2 in!

A Visit from Aunt Kaitlyn

On Thursday evening Harper and Keegan got to meet Aunt Kaitlyn for the first time!

Even though Kaitlyn arrived late Thursday night, she was thrown right into taking care of the twins.  She stayed up late doing feedings each night and did great!  It was really sad to see her leave but hopefully we'll get to see her again at Christmas.

One Week Old

Harper & Keegan are 1 week old today!  The past week is definitely a blur.  I barely remember anything that's happened since they've been born and have not slept much at all.  Even though I'm running on empty, it's been a wonderful week!

Well Keegan & Harper have arrived!  They arrived on Thursday, October 18, 2012 via c-section.

A Day Full of Appointments!

This morning I had an appointment with Dr. Z.  I'll be 35 weeks on Sunday and they measured me at 44 weeks!  She said I'm larger than most people are full term!  I am barely starting to dilate which is good and they're hoping I can make it to my scheduled c-section date.  Don't bother asking when the date is though because we aren't telling. :) Sorry!  I'm still not technically on complete bed rest now but I might as well be.  Dr. Z wants me to scale back what I'm doing even more which means I can't do much of anything.  Guess I need to find a good show to start watching on Netflix!

I also had an appointment with Dr. G today.  He did another in depth ultrasound to see how the babies are growing.  Both of them are still doing well!  Baby boy is estimated at 5 lbs 11 oz and baby girl is estimated at 5 lbs 9 oz.  The estimates can be off by up to 1 lb either way but even still, hopefully they'll be 6 lbs or so when they're born.  Dr. G is also hoping I'll make it to the scheduled date.

Next week I'm scheduled to see Dr. Z on Wednesday for a regular checkup and Dr. G on Thursday for another ultrasound so hopefully we'll get another good report from both of them!

34 weeks 1 day

Well we've officially made it to October and the babies will definitely be here this month!  It's crazy to think they'll be here within the next 4 weeks!

I go to both doctors on Wednesday so it'll be nice to get an update on how the babies are doing.  I can't wait to find out what Dr. G estimates they weigh right now!

Another Weekly Checkup

Today I had an appointment with Dr. Z.  It was just a normal, routine visit.  She asked how I was feeling, if I'm swelling at all, and checked the babies' heartbeats.  Everything is still just fine.  I'm getting larger and larger each day.  Today at 33 weeks and 3 days, I measured 42 weeks.  No wonder I feel huge!

Next Wednesday I'll have a busy day of appointments since I'll see Dr. Z before lunchtime then Dr. G after lunch.  I'm excited to visit Dr. G again so we can find out approximately how big the babies are.

33 weeks 2 days

First, I'd like to apologize for the same outfits in all of my most recent and upcoming pictures.  I only have a few pairs of pants and shirts that actually fit...even some of Craig's shirts are becoming a little small across the belly area.

Second, for those of you in Indiana, I am extremely jealous of the weather there.  I'm so sick of it being 90+ degrees here and just want it to feel like fall!

Time for Weekly Checkups

Today I had an appointment with Dr. Z and everything went great!  I'm still not dilated and even though I'm still having contractions, they aren't very regular and don't hurt at all.  Today was 2 weeks from when they did the fetal fibronectin test at the hospital so Dr. Z decided to do another one today.  Luckily the test results came back negative again so that means there is very little chance I'll go into labor within the next 2 weeks.  She also said she'd like to start seeing me every week now till I deliver.  I actually like seeing her more often because it gives me some piece of mind that everything is still going okay.

In other exciting news, I finally found Pumpkin Delights at the grocery!  I've only been searching for them for weeks now!!  It was definitely worth the wait though because they are delicious!

32 weeks

Here I am at 32 weeks.  I feel like they are really running out of room and am having a hard time thinking about the fact that I'm going to get larger still!

Still looking good!

Today I went to see my high risk doctor, Dr. G.  I like going to him rather than my regular OB (Dr. Z) because he always does an in depth ultrasound and estimates their weights.  As Dr. Z said last week, the ultrasound machine she has at her office is like a Ford and the one at Dr. G's office is like a Maserati so obviously a much better and more detailed machine!

Dr. G said everything still looks good!  The twins are both above average in the normal range.  Twin A (boy) is estimated at 3 lbs 15 oz so just 1 oz under 4 lbs.  Twin B (girl) is estimated at 4 lbs 0 oz.  Dr. G said they should continue to gain approximately 5 ounces each week and hopefully will be between 5.5-6 lbs by the time I deliver.

I don't have to see Dr. G again for another 3 weeks.  I'll take that as a good sign that he doesn't think I'll deliver anytime before then.

Next week I see Dr. Z so we'll see what she says.  Those appointments are pretty short and boring with not much to update though.

Mione Family Baby Shower

Yesterday Clare and Melinda threw a wonderful baby shower! They had told me they were going to completely transform the house and they were right! The living room definitely did not look the same!

It was especially great to see some of Craig's family members that we don't get to see very often!

All of the showers were so great!  I can't believe they are all over and it's almost time for the twins to arrive!
