Weekend Recap | Easter Weekend

I'm a little behind on my blogging so I'm just now getting around to recapping Easter weekend!

Mimi came to visit us for Easter weekend! Harper and Keegan even got to stay up a little late to pick her up at the airport Thursday evening!

Friday morning we started the day at the pediatricians office for Harper and Keegan's 18 month checkup! The pediatrician probably thinks she is always visiting since she also went with us to their 12 month checkup. I plan on getting their 18 month post up soon!

We were all a little sick while she was here but it actually worked out okay. I was able to go to the doctor once we got back from the pediatrician's office while Mimi fed Harper and Keegan lunch. Had she not been here, I probably wouldn't have gone to doctor even though I definitely needed to.

After the doctor I picked up my prescription (stupid sinus infection!) and the kids medicine (they'd been batting head stuff for a few weeks and Harper had an ear infection), I headed back home to take a nap!

Later that afternoon we headed to the nature park for a walk! Harper barely napped that afternoon so she was zonked out during our walk!

Saturday consisted of playing in the backyard, Mimi pushing Harper around in her car, and going to the playground!

We attempted to take some traditional Bluebonnet pictures but it was a complete fail. Keegan wasn't really into it and Harper was not having it one bit.

Unfortunately Mimi had to leave early Sunday afternoon but we made the most of the morning!

We were very sad to see Mimi go but are already looking forward to seeing Gramps in a few weeks!

Love you Mimi! Thanks for coming to visit us!

Weekend Recap | A Visit from Aunt Kaitlyn

We had a visitor this past weekend... Aunt Kaitlyn! She arrived on Wednesday night and was able to stay through Sunday night! It was so fun having her here for the weekend! I just wish plane tickets weren't so expensive and she could visit more often.

Even though we don't see Kaitlyn very often (the last time was at Christmas!), Harper and Keegan seemed to remember her and warm up to her quickly! I think "seeing" her via FaceTime helps a ton!!

I had to work on Thursday but luckily I get off work at 3:30 each day so we were still able to enjoy the afternoon! Since Keegan's hair was a hot mess, we took him for an official haircut before heading to the nature park! It was definitely time. He cried a little but overall did a pretty good job sitting still! He's such a big boy!

We went to the Fort Worth Zoo on Friday morning... along with 20 school buses full of kids. Remind me to check the field trip schedule next time I go. I'd prefer not to share the zoo with hundreds of five year old hooligans. Needless to say, it was not quite as enjoyable as we were hoping but we still had a good time!

The best family picture we got....

Once the kids were up from their nap, we changed them into their new Louisville shirts for the big game! Even though Harper and Keegan were the cutest Louisville fans you've ever seen, the Cards still couldn't pull out a win. :(

Saturday consisted of errands in the morning (Sams Club, Target, Old Navy) before nap time and playing at the park and in the backyard in the afternoon! It was a perfect Saturday!

We found a new "hidden" park on Sunday and can't wait to visit it more often! It is the perfect size for Harper and Keegan! The rest of Sunday was low key. A trip to the grocery store and more playing outside! Are you sensing a pattern here? Harper and Keegan love to be outside!

I think this visit with Kaitlyn was probably my favorite one! It's sad to think we won't see her again till June! Thank goodness for FaceTime! What did people do before it?!

Thank you for coming to visit us Kaitlyn! We love and miss you!
